We are just starting here. I have a small pail of green beans and about 6 tomatoes, though I think I have corn, which I need to check tomorrow!

I feel like I have been preserving for months! Ok maybe about a month now because the zucchini is finally all gone (I pulled them up) haha.

Zucchini are a trial in the end. I once had a friend that planted maybe 5 hills because she thought she needed to in order for them to pollinate…I think they could have made a woodpile out of zucchini. We never plant them because we favor winter squash, and I just take a few off the neighbor’s hands….they see it as a gift!😆

I’ve been freezing strawberries & raspberries as they come . . . have already had one canning session (whole tomatos and some french beans) . . . and today husband is cooking up tomatos to make sauce, so I need to get sterilising equipment out again.

Claire do you pressure can your beans or do you water bath them? I pressure can them but I know people still water bath them too.

I’ve got a big sterilising pot, and use glass jars with rubber seals. After 2 hours in the sterilising pot, any air left in jars has been pushed out so they’re pressure sealed.
