This has been such a busy month that I have had no time to stitch so I woke up th his morning and stitched a bit before posting today just to say I got something accomplished lol!

Welcome to my Blog! My world is my husband and son (soon to be moving into his own home) and my step-children (fully grown) and our two cats who are definitely ying and yang. My day job is as Deputy Clerk of my home town in Western, NY but when I get home I have two side gigs, one as a professional private baker, and two, as an Etsy shop owner selling vintage and antique dishes and accessories. I have been gardening and growing my own food since my grandfather taught me at the ripe old age of 5. I stitch, I bake, I grow food, I can and preserve, I grocery shop to save money and eat well and boy do I have massive to-do lists. I hope you enjoy my day to day writings.

I need to get job number 1 done and then I will only have 3 jobs. It’s been a looong month. Plus farmers market started which takes a lot of our time organizing and I just became Rotary President of our town’s club. Lots of growing pains over here 🤦♀️
You made me chuckle with your early morning stitching, those emails from Avis are very motivational to get some progress made! Your project is looking beautiful x
The emails from Avis usually send me into a panic as I’m sure SAL weeks go by quicker than normal weeks LOL
At least you got a bit done, which sounds like an achievement with your busy schedule 🙂
I suspect we’ve all done some last-minute stitching so we have something to show! My stitching cycle seems to be 1) get the reminder from Avis, start stitching; 2) go to take pictures for the blog post on Saturday, think I haven’t gotten much done, stitch some more; 3) promise myself to make more time to stitch this round, so stitch a lot for a few days; 4) not touch the project again until we get back to 1. Well done getting any stitching done when your life is so hectic!
A little stitching is better than none as we say so often in this group. However the reason its said so often is because its true, and we do have other things in life apart from stitching to deal with, so don’t worry about it.

I find that Avis’s e-mail reminders often spur me to start stitching. Wanting to post something/anything does that too. Love this piece.

Especially in the summer for me. I told my husband we need a snow storm so I can get my stitching done haha.

Maybe take 5 minutes for yourself each day to stitch. It seems tiny, but you’ll enjoy it, and enjoy the progress too!
