The current project I am working on is to replace the seat covering on my kitchen desk chair. It desperately needs a refresher.
Here is where I left off last update:
And here I am now:
I am still not happy with the pink. It has no definition. It almost looks like it is glowing. But I don’t feel like ripping it all out either. We’ll see I guess. I love the blue border though!!
Now off to see what the other ladies in the group are stitching! Links to their blogs below. Thank you, Avis, for organizing this Stitch-a-Long.
Welcome to my Blog! My world is my husband and son (soon to be moving into his own home) and my step-children (fully grown) and our two cats who are definitely ying and yang. My day job is as Deputy Clerk of my home town in Western, NY but when I get home I have two side gigs, one as a professional private baker, and two, as an Etsy shop owner selling vintage and antique dishes and accessories. I have been gardening and growing my own food since my grandfather taught me at the ripe old age of 5. I stitch, I bake, I grow food, I can and preserve, I grocery shop to save money and eat well and boy do I have massive to-do lists. I hope you enjoy my day to day writings.

i like the pink. Contrasts nicely with the darker blue
The pink looks lovely to me but if you want to give it a bit more definition try a slightly darker single stand of backstitching. Maybe do a couple of samples on scrap fabric before committing??

That will make a pretty chair cover! The border is gorgeous, but the pink roses look very with it!

This is pretty. If there is backstitching on the pink it may ground it a little bit.

There isn’t but I may put some in. It’s hard to see the shape of the flowers
