Happy Sunday to everyone! It’s time for our three week update! I got a ton stitched on my girl since last time!

This piece is definitely looking like a lavendar field now. My eyes have taken a beating on this one, much like the poppy field I did years ago.

Welcome to my Blog! My world is my husband and son (soon to be moving into his own home) and my step-children (fully grown) and our two cats who are definitely ying and yang. My day job is as Deputy Clerk of my home town in Western, NY but when I get home I have two side gigs, one as a professional private baker, and two, as an Etsy shop owner selling vintage and antique dishes and accessories. I have been gardening and growing my own food since my grandfather taught me at the ripe old age of 5. I stitch, I bake, I grow food, I can and preserve, I grocery shop to save money and eat well and boy do I have massive to-do lists. I hope you enjoy my day to day writings.

That is so gorgeous Mary Margaret! Definitely worth the effort. 🙂 My lavender plant is actually blooming. I planted seeds that took over a month to germinate, and then we planted it out in a raised bed this year, and it has expanded nicely. I was happily surprised to see the one flower stalk last week!
The lavender field is gorgeous. Your project is so stunning and I love watching it evolve. Eye strain is our curse with cross stitch. I was thinking of getting the highest value in cheaters and see if that would help 🙂

This is a gorgeous cross-stitch. I can just imagine the color changes that strain the eyes. Well worth it in the end though.
