SAL-Project Joyce’s Rose #22

It’s been six weeks since our last update and I should have completed Joyce’s Rose but I didn’t even pick it up until two days ago. I just didn’t feel like stitching. We have had a rough few weeks with Bob and Joyce and sickness for my hubby. But we carry on, right? How was everyone’s holidays?

Here is where I left off last update:

And here is where I am now.

This bud is now done.

This is the last photo of when I worked on the buds on the left. And below is where I am now on them.

Here is a photo of the whole project now.

We are in the middle of a snowstorm right now, so I will keep working on this throughout the rest of the day today.

Thank you, Avis for all you do for our group! Please visit the other stitchers in our group by clicking the links below. They are working on some lovely projects!

See you in three weeks!

Welcome to my Blog! My world is my husband and son (soon to be moving into his own home) and my step-children (fully grown) and our two cats who are definitely ying and yang. My day job is as Deputy Clerk of my home town in Western, NY but when I get home I have two side gigs, one as a professional private baker, and two, as an Etsy shop owner selling vintage and antique dishes and accessories. I have been gardening and growing my own food since my grandfather taught me at the ripe old age of 5. I stitch, I bake, I grow food, I can and preserve, I grocery shop to save money and eat well and boy do I have massive to-do lists. I hope you enjoy my day to day writings.

  1. Mary Margaret, are those the last two buds?! You are getting so close, and this is such a complex piece. Happy stitching today. I am doing the same, stitching, knitting and sewing because it is too cold to go outside except to fee the chickens hot cornbread.

  2. Snow storm here where I am too, yesterday and today. I sure know who stresses can slow us down and you have so much on your plate (as I read your more recent posts too) Hang in there. Your Rose project is my favorite and I know it must bring a smile of great accomplishment. Stay cozy warm
